1 of all, the covering plan for the Lusitano mare, was push´t to 2021....becaurse i got pregnant, and have had a pretty ruff time after the birth, whit uncontrold bledings, no one cut figure out.
when after 6 mth, it got under control and was finally over, we startet to chek the mare again, to see when she cout be covered.... yaah, we plan´t how and when.....and then.... i got pregnant again. Sooo insted, we have plan´t to dump the covering idea again, and push it to the spring of 2021, where my up comming new mare (not lusitano) has to be covered to. Insted we are going to take the lusitano mare, to get her breeding approvel, and hope in this corona time, where we defently, dont have alot time to get her prepared to proform, that we maby can get her to be approved, whit alot of luck. Becaurse of the exstrem lack of properation (time to train her), we are off caurse not expecting high point. we only cross our fingre´s and toe´s that she will pass min point. if she get approved, we will get her covered in 2021, and work on a re approwel for 2022 to get her point higher. But for now, an approvel no matter point is what we hope for. The approvel date is set for d 12/9-20, so this upcomming saturday. and we are defently not rady....so it´s luck we wish for. So. update 2. is that the plan whit the arabien mare, is stop. we came to the conclution, that she is not of the caliber and hight, type, that has the potential, to use for the type of Luso-arab we wish to bred in a spicifik hight and type, sadly. So she will be (also this upcoming weekend), moving to the main land, where we are picking up a Holsteiner mare instead.....yes a holsteiner mare. the mare is not pickt up to be breed on, though we have the pomission to breed one foal on her. she´s an old lady in her start 20, and is going her ass her last home. this is done by persenaly interrest, becaurse i hav had the pernonal awner of jumping on a half brother of her in my teen´s. a gelding that sadly died of bronchitis when he was only 6 years old. it´s was not my boy, but sin´s then i have look long time to se if there was some family out there that had the same spirit gloving out of them, no one ever did, uptil now, 25 years later, i find one, and it will be personaly for me a privilige to have her live her final days her whit me. We do have promission to breed one last foal on her, before she retires, and we ofcaurse wil do that, so she can have her pension in peace after that, an be a happy old lady....we have a lake by the stable, so i think her nick name is gonna be - the lady of the lake on this side. time will tell. We alredy have a few idears of stallions, for this mare, 1. baloun (jumper), dubliner (jumper) or Conner (jumper) If the baby is a filly, it gonna breed ofcaurse. bouth holsteiner, but alsow (on the drawing board still) portuguisis sports horses. but more on that, when its time for that. Is it a colt, it´s gonna be casteratet, after we have mede som frozen seemen, when old enough. any ways the baby is a keeper for riding. so...ohh another new thing...update. we are planing, to scool the lusitano mare to be a jumper, we fount, that she is first of all not a great mover, but she is defently not a fan of dressage, accturly she hate´s it.....but give her a cavaletti, or take her out on the jumping track, and she´s having a party.... so the idea about making WE horse out of her, is change to making her a jumper, but can she jump, your thinking.......ooohhh yaa, she defently can jump...bouth high and wide, so we are playing whit the idea´r of trying to start an accturly jumping line of pure breed lusitano´s up. theres some pure breed lusitano stallions out the that jumping exstremlyhigh and well, but hirstory will, that they all is breed on dreassage mares and the foal is seen as sutch.....so becaurse i am who i am;) i desidet to wonder why does no one try to do a jumping line, whit thes exstremly good jumping horses....it make´s no sense to me, as a formere jumper my self....i guess it mainly becaurse the mose ibirican owners and breeders are dressage or arkademik riders, whit no jumping desire... So....i guess i stand alone.....but hee, it´s gonna start some where right? :) so why not me. maby some where sombody get inspiret some day, and start themself, to. so projekt we horses, is gonna be comined whit breeding lusitano and maby portugusis sports horse to creat a jumping line, in the breed. time will show how is gonna work out. Well im exited for the idear do. time will tell if it was a god one. SLL
